WHAT A BLAST! Thank you all of you who came to the MOS show, we had a great time, and we're sure YOU had a great time too. Thanks to the kind people of Great Eastern Life and Jensen from Power 98. Soon says he hope he entertained you all with his dancing (he's still cringing up till today!) Next up - We'll be playing at the Esplanade come 12th August as part of the Power 98 and Snakeweed Weekend! Come down to the Powerhouse stage at 8.30pm to catch us rock the Esplanade with the nice guys from Caracal! Check it out here!

Show us your support, get your copy before they all run out! Also, we're going back to the studio on the 2nd week of April. number> Preparations are also underway for the completion of the full-length album. We are scheduled to go back to Snakeweed Acoustic Labs in April, and a release is expected by the end of this year. In all honesty, we wouldn't have been spurred on if it weren't for the support and warmth we have received from everyone. You know who you are! In the afternoon when I called Soo from Perfect 10, she announced to me that with effect from yesterday, SkiVe has been added onto the regular playlist of the station! What this means is that SkiVe is no longer confined to the boundaries of 987HOME, but we are available for listening pleasure on 98.7 at all times! The rest is up to you, please SMS in to vote for The Same Old Sky on all the request shows, especially Say It With Music! _____________________________________________________ Its been a great year, and starting off the new one with a loud bang! Thanks for everyone who made it happen. I apologise for the lack of updates as of late, I have been travelling and the rest of the guys have been busy planning for upcoming events. First of all, we have finalised the date for the launch of the EP on 10th February 2007. We're doing it at a pub, details will be made available as soon as we have more concrete plans. Opening for us is a wonderful band, Another Sunday Afternoon. Great band! For those who caught us at our shows on Friday and yesterday... Thanks a lot! Ngee Ann Poly on Friday was super. Thanks to the organisers and the audiences for making it such a wonderful show for us to play (although I was not able to be there, but the guys kept on raving about it!) On a bigger note, yesterday we were playing at Vivocity, to the BEST CROWD we have ever played to! Thanks to all the JJC people and everyone who was a part of the event that made us feel right at home. You guys are the best! We really had a blast. Wow! _____________________________________________________ "So how do you juggle work and your music?" Good lord, Soo! That is probably a question for the ages. And you do make me wonder… The past few weeks have been a hell-ova ride. With our EP recordings done at Leonard's (bless his patient heart), a NOISE-y gig at Marina Square, and some true blue rocking with the guys + Caleb at our usual weekly hang out, Sound Scape, I'm REALLY looking forward to another week at the day job. (For those interested to know, I'm with Cerebos Pacific Ltd (the coy behind BRAND'S essence, bird's nest and health supplements), heading up the market development and customer value creation departments of its South Asia business.) Since this is my first blog entry, I'd like to dedicate my deepest appreciation to the special people who never fail to arouse us with their warm applause and energy at every gig – Anderson, Chung Cheng, and most recently, Marina. I'm really looking forward to seeing you again so please keep in touch. I've always regarded the audience as a vital part of any show, with whom affinity is almost built in that short span of 20 minutes for skive shows and 4 hours for 52nd Streets' (I still love you Soon) and isn’t it such a waste that we let this sense of affinity slip so easily as we part ways after the final number? (you'd be surprised to know that we skivers are as love-struck as fools in our songs as we are off stage) Nonetheless, if I'm lucky enough to have caught your attention here and now, do leave me your email and mobile details and I'll be happy to keep you posted on our latest happenings and gig schedule.
